Provision of cookies
What are cookies?
This Website uses so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are stored in the memory of your terminal device via your browser. They save certain information (for example, your preferred language or site settings) which your browser may (depending on how long the cookie is stored) transfer back to us the next time you visit our Website.
What cookies do we use?
We distinguish between two categories of cookies: (1) functional cookies, without which the functionality of our Website would be limited, and (2) custom cookies, used, for example, for website analytics and marketing purposes. The following table provides a detailed description of the optional cookies we use:
With your consent
We only use optional cookies with your prior consent. The first time you access our Website, a banner will appear asking you to consent to our use of optional cookies. If you give consent, we will place a cookie on your computer and the banner will no longer appear for as long as the cookie is active. After the cookie expires or if you actively delete the cookie, the banner will reappear the next time you visit our Website and will again ask for your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
How to prevent cookies
You can use our Website without the use of any cookies. You can configure or completely disable the use of cookies in your browser at any time. However, this may result in limited functionality or have some negative impact on the user-friendliness of our Website. You may object to the setting of cookies of your choice at any time by using the relevant objection option set out in the table above.
Website analytics
On our Website we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, United States ("Google").
Google will analyze your use of our Website on our behalf. For this purpose, we use the cookies described in more detail in the table above. The information collected by Google in connection with your use of our Website (e.g. the referring URL, which of our pages you visit, your browser type, language settings, your operating system, screen resolution) will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it will be stored and analysed. The relevant results will be provided to us in an anonymised form. In this process, your usage data will not be linked to your full IP address. We have activated on our Website the IP anonymisation function offered by Google, so that the last eight bits (IPv4 type) or the last 80 bits (IPv6 type) of your IP address are deleted. Alongside this, Google is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield, which ensures that an adequate level of data protection is maintained with regard to Google's processing of data in the US.
You can withdraw your consent to the use of web analytics at any time by downloading and installing the Google Browser Plugin offered or by managing your consents in the table above, and an opt-out cookie will be placed. Both of these options only prevent the use of web analytics if you are using the browser on which you have installed this plugin, or if you do not delete the opt-out cookie. For further information about Google Analytics, please see Google Analytics Terms of Service, Google Analytics Security and Privacy Principles and Google Privacy Policy.
